How competitive are your prices?
We have come up with what we feel is the best pricing in the Colocation industry! Our prices are usually
HK$2,300-HK$7,000 LOWER than our competitors. Most ISPs are not setup to be competitive in the Colocation industry, so their pricing is not competitive enough since they have no interest in being competitive. Most ISPs charge from HK$3,800-HK$11,000/server to Co-Locate where our pricing is from HK$2,700-HK$4,200 with the equivalent features and capabilities.
What makes your services so much better?
We take pride in providing some of the lowest Latency times in the industry! And our multiple DS3 connections to different backbone providers allows us to offer the highest speed and most redundant connection possible.
What is latency? Why should it concern me?
Latency is the amount of time it takes to get a response. In other words, when you useyour web browser to visit a website, their are 3 factors, Latency of the Routers, Latencyof the Server, and Congestion on the connection. Latency playing an important part in two of those 3 factors. When you request a page, your browser has to request usually 6-10 images to produce that page. Well each request needs to get a response from your server. The problem arises when the ISPs routers are too slow to respond fast enough because they are too congested or too low-end. This latency adds seconds onto each page retrieval amounting to a slower overall viewed connection. If your latency is not very low, it could cause many of your potential visitors to look elsewhere on the Internet for what they want.
How much bandwidth/traffic am I allowed per server?
This depends on the Colocation package you purchase, you will find those details within the pricing
structure next to each package. We do not hide this value, and in certain packages there is no limit at all! Beware of many Colocation providers who quote you HK$1,500-HK$2,300/month but will only allow up to 20 gigs of traffic! Can I run my own Web Hosting company using your Colocation service? You sure can! We have many entrepreneurs using our location to serve up their customers with high speed web hosting services.
How many IP Addresses am I allowed to have?
This depends on the package you sign up for and in turn which facility we locate your server at. You will find the number of IP addresses allowed next to the Pricing structure for each package. Beware of ISPs who offer a HK$1,500-HK$2,300 co-location package but only give you 5 IP addresses!
What if my server has a problem while its Co-Located at your location?
We can set an appointment to work on your server for you, or meet you at the facility. Can I visit your facility to work on my server myself? Your welcome to come to our facility by appointment to work on your server, whether its to fix a problem, or to upgrade the hardware. We also have our own engineers who will be glad to work on your server at an hourly rate.
Is there an engineer onsite 24 hours a day at the facility?
We use to offer 24 hour onsite engineer and found that none of our customers needed this feature. We have instead given an email address to our co-location customers that allows them to Page an engineer if they have a problem after hours. Our location in Kwun Tong, Kowloon has an engineer onsite on and off and can visit the location by appointment if there is something you need done.
